Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what you're agreeing to

Piccola is provided by I.E. BLANKET BYTE (individual entrepreneur), registration ID 305834292, University Street N.17a, Floor 10, Vake district, Tbilisi, Georgia ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Piccola you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what we store and why. If you don't agree, please don't use Piccola.

2. Who can use Piccola

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• One account per person, registered with an email address you control.
• You may not use Piccola if doing so is prohibited by the laws that apply to you.

3. Your account

You sign in with your email address and a password (at least 10 characters, with upper and lower case letters and a digit). Keep your password secret: you are responsible for what happens under your account, and you should tell us immediately at contact@blanketbyte.com if you think someone else is using it. The only emails we send are the ones needed to run your account — signup confirmation, password reset, and a confirmation when you change your email address.

4. The service

Piccola helps you keep track of routines, groceries, a personal budget and reminders. It works in the browser (and can be installed as an app) and as native apps on iOS and Android, all sharing one account. It is built to keep working offline and to sync your changes when you are back online; while offline, changes live only on that device until it reconnects.

Notifications are delivered on a best-effort basis through third-party push services and can be delayed or lost. Do not rely on Piccola as your only safeguard for anything time-critical or safety-critical.

5. Not medical, financial or professional advice

Piccola is a personal organizer, not a healthcare or financial product. The Reminders module is a log you keep for yourself: it invites logging and never instructs consumption, and an empty day is just an empty day, not a statement about your health. The Budget module is a personal tracker, not financial advice. What you take, eat, avoid or spend is your decision — if you need medical, dietary or financial guidance, please talk to a qualified professional.

6. Your content

Everything you enter into Piccola stays yours. You give us only the limited permission we need to store, process, back up and display it so the service works for you and syncs across your devices; we use it for nothing else. You are responsible for making sure your content is lawful and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. Receipt files are limited to 25 MiB and avatars to 5 MiB, in the file types the app accepts.

7. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• use Piccola for anything unlawful, or upload content that is illegal or infringes others' rights;
• try to break, probe or circumvent the security or limits of the service, or access other people's accounts or data;
• scrape, overload or interfere with the service through automated means;
• resell or sublicense access to Piccola.

8. Price

Piccola is currently free to use. If we ever introduce paid features, we will announce it in advance, and nothing you already use will become paid without your explicit agreement.

9. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Piccola running, but we can't promise uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, pause or remove features, and we will try to give you reasonable notice of changes that affect you. Keep an export of your data if it matters to you (see section 10).

10. Export, deletion and ending the agreement

You can export your data and delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion is immediate and irreversible. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service — where reasonably possible we will tell you first so you can export your data. How we handle your data in each case is described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Intellectual property

The Piccola name, logo, design and software belong to I.E. BLANKET BYTE. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own purposes under these Terms. Your own content is not covered by this — it remains yours (section 6).

12. Disclaimers

Piccola is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about its accuracy, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not certified under SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS or similar schemes.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by the law that applies to you, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of Piccola (please keep exports of anything important), and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim — which, while Piccola is free, is zero. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and nothing here takes those away. If you have a problem, please write to contact@blanketbyte.com first — we would much rather fix it than argue about it.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published here with its date at the top; for material changes we will let you know in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Piccola after that means you accept the updated Terms.
